On the following two pages, the Acorn breaks down all eight Marmonte League football teams, including Simi Valley and Royal, both of whom are looking for bounce-back seasons

He'll have plenty of weapons at his disposal as RHS eyes a playoff berth. On the other side of town, Simi Valley High senior Shane Digirolomo hauls in a pass during Tuesday's practice. Word throughout the league is that both the Pioneers, who open their season tonight, and Highlanders are poised to push themselves into the upper echelon of the Marmonte standings.

The Acorn's 2008 Marmonte League Preview
      Agoura Chargers Last season's results: (Tied for 3rd in Marmonte, 6-4 overall) Agoura defended its home turf well, going 4-1 at AHS. The Chargers picked up victories against Ventura and Rio Mesa in non-league action, and Marmonte wins against Simi Valley, Moorpark, Royal and Calabasas. Agoura didn't lose when it scored 27 or more points in a game.
