The Ventura County Library community libraries are participating in Library Card Sign-Up Month in September. Parents are encouraged to help their children get library cards.

Libraries include resources to help children with homework; have books, music and DVDs available for rent; and provide Internet access.

A recent study by the American Library Association showed that families use libraries to spend time together.
