The Simi Valley Police Foundation and Simi Valley Police Department will host the 12th annual Police and Community Awards Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wed., Sept. 17 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.

The event will honor both civilians and law enforcement for exemplary service during the past year. The public is invited.

The recipients include Detective Greg Gonzales, officer of the year; Officer Vince Allegra, Michael F. Clark award; CSI Becca McConnell, civilian of the year; Lori Zafiropoulos, volunteer of the year; Karista Garza, Explorer of the year; Senior Officer Craig Dungan and Officer Nicole Anderson, meritorious service award.
