Susan Myers, director of Adventist Health/Homecare Services of Simi Valley Hospital, has been recently appointed as the executive director of the Simi Valley Hospital Foundation.

Myers will remain in her home health role and will consolidate the foundation office into the area occupied by home health.

Myers said she dreams of making the foundation "more of a giving and not just a receiving foundation."

"I'm looking at developing a mission that defines what we do outside of the hospital to help our community," she said.

The foundation's next event is its annual Golf Classic on Oct. 29.
