Academy welcomes new administrator
Chatsworth Hills Academy, an independent school serving about 300 youngsters, has welcomed two new administrators to the school.
Jon Douglas was named CHA's chief financial officer with operating responsibilities for finance, human resources, buildings and grounds, and technology.
Douglas most recently served for five years as business manager for the Walden School in Pasadena.
Ann Gillinger will serve as CHA's new academic dean and head of the lower school, replacing Christina Simonds. Gillinger was head of nearby Sierra Canyon's kindergartenthrougheighth-grade school, which was acquired by the newly formed high school in 2006.
Head of School Graham Brown said the school is "truly fortunate" to have the two new additions.
"Each brings significant experience and great expertise in their specific area, and the entire CHA community will be enriched and expanded by their arrival," Brown said.
CHA is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and is accredited by both California Association of Independent Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Chatsworth Hills Academy is at 21523 Rinaldi St. For more information about the school, visit www.chaschool.org.
