Simi Valley resident Shirley Green, 67, was killed and five others were injured in a twovehicle collision Wednesday morning at the intersection of Kuehner Drive and Katherine Road.

Green was found in the driver's seat of her car and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Sgt. Adam Darough of the Simi Valley Police Department.

An autopsy Thursday showed the cause of death to be a result of multiple blunt force injuries.

A boy in the passenger seat sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The woman driving the second vehicle and her three juvenile passengers suffered minor to moderate injuries as well, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 10:51 a.m. According to police reports, Simi police received numerous 911 calls regarding the collision.

Officers and paramedics from the Ventura County Fire Department administered first aid to the injured victims who were then taken to Simi Valley Hospital and Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks for treatment.

Darough said Simi police are still investigating the scene and examining the two vehicles to determine the cause of the crash. At this time there is no indication that alcohol was involved, he said.

CHP assisted Simi officers in directing traffic following the crash, but the road remained opened, Darough said.
