A local horse club will host "Show for the Gold," an open horse show, starting 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 30 and 31 at Arroyo Simi Equestrian Center, 3495 Chicory Lane, Simi Valley.

Aug. 30 is the all-English show with classes for three age divisions, and flat and jumping classes for every skill level.

Aug. 31 is the all-Western show with classes for three age divisions. Competition includes halter and showmanship, equitation, pleasure, trail (obstacle course), reining and games.

Prizes for the top riders include gold dollars, awards and trophies.
