Winner takes title in sudden-death playoff
      Simi Hills Golf Course received a lot of praise from players regarding its condition and layout when the course hosted the Simi Valley City Amateur Golf Championships last weekend. In fact, Russell Boring and Kevin Coghlan were so impressed with the links they decided to play a couple extra holes.

Simi soccer squad wins Islands Classic
     TOTAL ECLIPSE—The Simi Valley Soccer Club Eclipse U-11 team went 4-0 at the Islands Classic in Camarillo to win the tournament title.       Moorpark College is hosting its Summer Doubles Grass Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. Divisions include Girls' High School, Boys' High School, Coed Open, Women's Open and Men's Open. Registration cost is $30 per team. Teams must arrive at the soccer field by 8:15 a.m.
