2008-08-01 / Family

During the hot summer days, families are invited to cool off at the Rancho Simi Pool, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

The public pool is open to the public for open swim sessions daily from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Lifeguard staff will be on duty during all sessions.

The cost per person is $2. Individual swim passes may be purchased for $35 and are good for 20 admissions, including recreational swim and lap swimming.

Family swim passes are available for $200 for unlimited swim sessions for up to six family members through Aug. 24.

Children not yet toilet trained must wear approved swim diapers, and everyone must wear bathing suits.

Children under age 7 must have an adult, 18 years or older, in the water with the child at all time unless the child has passed a swim test administered by a Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District lifeguard. The test must be passed each time the child visits the pool.
