Park District puts on plays, movies and music in August

•Gypsies in a Truck presents a family play, "Cinderella," in the Fairy Tales in the Park series, at 4 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 2, at Rancho Simi Community Park Amphitheater, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

Admission is free but donations are appreciated. Bring a blanket or low chair for outdoor seating.

•Dive-In Movies presents the animated feature "Over the Hedge" on Saturday, Aug. 9 at Rancho Simi Community Park Pool, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

The pool opens at 6 p.m., and the movie is screened at dusk on a 24-foot inflatable screen.

Admission is $3 per person. Attendees may swim and play in the water or bring lawn seating to watch the film.

•Club Envy is for teens in grades eight to 12 and will take place from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15 at 5005-C Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley.

The event includes dancing, dance contest, music and more for teens.

Admission is $5 at the door, and ID is required.

•The free Music in the Park Concert series presents Savor, a Santana tribute, at 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 16 at Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

Attendees may bring lawn seating and a picnic dinner.

•Films Under the Stars presents "Enchanted" at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22 at the Rancho Simi Community Park amphitheater, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

Admission is free. Attendees should bring a blanket or low chair for outdoor seating. The movie is projected on a 20-foot inflatable screen.
