"Beach Party" is the theme for Vacation Bible School, scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, Aug. 3 to 7 at United Methodist Church of Simi Valley, 2394 Erringer Road.

Children age 4 through junior high are invited to participate.

The program will begin with a meal and be followed by interactive activities, including a mission project, singing and crafts to help participants with "Surfin' through the Scriptures."

To sign up, come to the church office today, Friday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. to noon to complete a registration form.

The cost is $20 per child or $40 per family.
