Valiant Men car show motors into town

The Valiant Men Ministries of Simi Valley hosted the third annual Charity Car Show on July 12 at the Simi Valley Town Center.

Visitors had an opportunity to view an eclectic variety of hot rods, classic automobiles, muscle cars, low riders, trucks, motorcycles, and other vintage vehicles.

The Garage Band provided live music for the event.

Ninety-eight vehicles were on display and more than 400 people attended the show. The event raised almost $2,000, all of which went to ACTION Foundation of Camarillo's Foster Youth Ministry. ACTION Foundation is a Christian outreach ministry serving Ventura County, facilitating service projects and outreach opportunities with churches and other agencies to reach those most in need

This year's goal was to raise $1,500 to help purchase school supplies and backpacks for foster youth in Ventura County.
