Simi Valley Town Center invites artists in all visual art media to compete for selection as a monthly calendar featured artist.

More than 12,000 Simi Valley Town Center calendars are distributed to Simi Valley and Moorpark households each month. The calendar is glossy and full color and is used to highlight mall events, including a monthly fine art show and sale.

Artwork selected will be featured in the interior of the calendar, and the name of the artist will be printed on the front cover as well.

The competition is open to all artists in Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Riverside, San Diego and Imperial counties.

Materials, hand delivered or mailed, must arrive by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11.

Submissions will be evaluated according to appropriateness to a public venue, artistic quality of work, reproducibility and general public appeal.
