Pair arrested for tossing rocks from freeway overpass
Two juveniles were arrested Sunday on suspicion of throwing rocks off a freeway overpass and damaging six cars, according to Moorpark CHP.
Officer Brandon Mumme of the Moorpark CHP, said the juveniles, aged 11 and 15, were arrested around 9 p.m. July 20 near the Yosemite Avenue bridge over Highway 118. The two were taken into custody by Moorpark CHP before later being released to their parents.
Six cars traveling eastbound on the 118 Freeway were damaged by the rocks the adolescents allegedly threw onto the road, but no one in the cars was injured.
