T.O. Philharmonic presents 'Opus 22'

The Thousand Oaks Philharmonic will present its "Opus 22" set of concerts on Friday, Aug. 1 and Sunday, Aug. 3 in Camarillo and Thousand Oaks.

The professional orchestra will be led by guest conductor Richard Rintoul. Six pianists will be featured in the concerts. Soloists are Alexander Agate, 14; Michael Aspinwall, 14; Brian Casebolt, 18; Bruno Ferrari, 17; Eric Nam, 18 and Charles Su, 15.

Repertory for the concert will include Bach Keyboard Concerto in D Minor, the Beethoven Piano Concerto #3, Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and the Grieg Piano Concerto.

The Friday concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Camarillo United Methodist Church, 291 Anacapa Drive, Camarillo. There is no charge. Donations wil be accepted.

The Sunday matinee will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Scherr Forum Theater at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Tickets will be available in the lobby of the theater at 1 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students and seniors.

A pre-concert lecture will be given 45 minutes before the performance.
