Gratitude for a good samaritan
This letter is to an unknown person who was kind and honest enough to return a purse to the local post office.
My daughter had stopped to mail a letter at an outside mailbox. She opened the driver's side door but was not close so got out to get closer and mail the letter.
She got back in the car and went on to the bank. It was there she discovered her purse was missing.
She decided to check back at the post office and see if it had fallen to the ground. It was not there so she went inside to check. The post office staff acknowledged that a purse had been returned and requested her to identify the contents. Good work on the part of staff. The contents were valuable- documents, money and a nursing license very critical to her job.
My daughter would like to thank the staff of the Galena Street post office that checked the purse and its contents. She sincerely hopes that whoever returned the purse reads this letter of gratitude. Gloria McQuade Simi Valley
