Williamson deserves four more years
I must say that I'm delighted to hear that Councilmember Barbra Williamson wants to continue her participation in Simi Valley city government.
She will certainly have my vote. There is not a more dedicated, unbiased supporter of the residents of Simi Valley than she is.
When Larwin's Happy Face Hill project came up repeatedly before the council, it was Williamson who really listened to and understood what the neighbors of this zoning mistake had to say.
When I fell and broke my kneecap on my morning walk in my neighborhood a couple of years ago over one of more than 100 raised and damaged pieces of sidewalk, it was Williamson that came to inspect the conditions and advised me how to bring this terrible situation to the attention of the City Council.
The day after my presentation before the council, city crews were out filling those raised areas with asphalt so no one else would trip and fall.
As chairwoman of the Tree Advisory Board it was Williamson who came to inspect the damage done to our neighborhood by the Canary Island Pine trees planted by the city in our parkways.
No issue is too small to receive her personal attention. We couldn't ask for a better representative. Judy McLaughlin Simi Valley
