The Ventura County Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at the LDS Family History Center, 3501 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.

The guest speaker is Lisa Schumacher who will discuss "Organizing your genealogy on your computer." She has 30 years of experience in the computer field and is a selfemployed technical support consultant. Her interest is in computer programs and gadgets that can be used in genealogical research.

Scheduled workshops for the day include research basics, guides to periodicals and computer lab.

Books and genealogy supplies will be available for purchase before the meeting starts and during breaks.

The meeting is free and guests are welcomed.
