Youth theater to hold auditions for 'Iolanthe'

Curtain Call Youth Theatre will hold auditions for its teen summer musical theater/opera workshop from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 17 at the Camarillo Community Theatre, 330 Skyway Drive, Camarillo.

The workshop will produce Gilbert and Sullivan's "Iolanthe," a comedic operetta about politicians and fairies.

The following roles are open for casting: The Lord Chancellor, baritone; Earl of Mountararat, baritone; Earl Tolloller, bari-tenor; Private Willis, baritone; Strephon, tenor; Queen of the Fairies, contralto; Iolanthe, mezzo; Leila, soprano; Celia, mezzo; Fleta, alto; Phyllis, soprano; chorus of dukes, marquises, earls, viscounts, barons and fairies of all vocal ranges.

There will be tuition for the workshop.
