David Coleman of Simi Valley Elks Lodge No. 2492 was recently chosen West Central Coast District vice president.

Coleman became an Elk in 1997.

He completed the chairs of Loyal Knight and Leading Knight to become Exalted Ruler.

He was chairman for Elks National Foundation, veterans, membership, membership retention and public relations.

He also was a five-year trustee for the Simi Valley Elks, of which he was chairman twice.

Coleman's duties as district vice president include attending conventions and visitations to the 12 lodges in the district.

His homecoming will be Tuesday, Aug. 5.
