Residents are invited to participate in any of the following volunteer opportunities in the area. For more information or to sign up, call the phone number listed for the event.

•The Los Angeles-Ventura Counties Affiliate of Mothers Against Drunk Driving will host an orientation and training for volunteers from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 21 at the Proud Bird Restaurant, 11022 Aviation Blvd., Los Angeles. Lunch will be provided.

•Malibu Lagoon Museum, the Adamson House at Surfrider Beach in Malibu, needs volunteers to provide tours of the historical site or work in the gift shop.

The training program will begin Monday, June 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and continue for six weeks. There is a $40 fee for course materials and museum membership.

The museum is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

•Volunteers are needed for the Conejo Free Clinic at 80 E. Hillcrest Drive, Ste. 102, Thousand Oaks.

Nurses are needed to work the adult immunization clinic twice a month. Duties include patient intake as well as ordering and monitoring vaccine inventory.

A receptionist is needed for the immunization clinic on the second and fourth Tuesday evenings of each month.

Experienced office support is needed once a week to assist the director of operations with updating personnel files.
