The Greater Los Angeles Paint Horse Club hosted a benefit trail ride with 18 riders at Bridlepath Equestrian Community in Simi Valley on Saturday.

After the ride, the group was joined by spouses, friends and other residents for a barbecue lunch, a raffle and entertainment by the Justin Honsinger Band. Honsinger and Jeff Betts, both cowboys, taught cattle roping to the children and adults.

The event raised more than $2,700 for St. Jude's Children's Research hospital. For information about the club, visit www.glapaintclub.com.
