The Kiwanis Club of Simi Valley will host a Special Guest Day breakfast meeting at 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 18 at Paul's Italian Villa, 2585 Cochran St., Simi Valley.

The meeting is to introduce interested community members to the ideas of the Kiwanis Club.

The guest speaker will be Chief Mike Lewis of the Simi Valley Police Department, who will answer "everything you always wanted to know, but were afraid to ask."

This will be an informative update on the city, and will give tips on how citizens can ensure their own safety and reduce crime.

Kiwanis Club of Simi Valley, established in 1965, believes that children and communities benefit from the efforts of a diligent group of caring volunteers.

The club's many projects assist local children and the unfortunate.
