Brandeis-Bardin celebrating Israel's 60th
A mega-celebration of Israel's 60th birthday is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 22 at the American Jewish University, Brandeis-Bardin campus, 1101 Peppertree Lane, Simi Valley.
The event is open to the community and will feature art, music, drama, food, shopping, lectures and family fun.
Speakers will include Congressman Howard Berman, Consul General of Israel Jacob Dayan, American Jewish University's President Robert Wexler, radio personality Dennis Prager, Chaim SeidlerFeller with Steven Spiegel, and Mel Levine, Susan Freudenheim, Nadav Morag and Daryl Temkin.
There will be Israeli dancing throughout the day with music by Moshav, DJ Shay Deleon, Elana Jagoda and Svika Pick.
Noa Baum will perform her one-woman show, "A Land Twice Promised."
All-access tickets for adults are $10 for reservations by June 16 and $20 after June 16. Children's tickets are $5.
The event is sponsored by American Jewish University, the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and Sinai Temple.
