Sophomores Alyssa Gervosoni of Royal High School and John Casselberry of Simi Valley High School will both attend the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Conference starting today, June 6, at California Lutheran University.

The Simi Valley Kiwanis Club is sponsoring the students.

The three-day conference will present seminars for discussions between the students and distinguished leaders in business, government, education and the professions. The conference was established by actor Hugh O'Brien after he had visited with Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. Albert Schweitzer in Africa.

The event's mission is to seek out and develop leadership potential among sophomores.
