Letter's claims were far-fetched
I remember reading the Letter to the Editor from Ms. Tapia regarding the missing Tenenbaum signs (May 16) and dismissed it immediately as absolute nonsense.
She reminds me of the protagonist in the movie "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean" played by Paul Newman, who says to a defendant, "Do you have anything to say for yourself before I find you guilty?"
Maybe if I adapt her fantasy mindset I would speculate that the two people cited on May 19 (three days after her letter was published) for stealing U.S. Rep. Gallegly's signs were dispatched by Mr. Tenenbaum himself in retaliation?
I believe both gentlemen have bigger fish to fry than worrying about who has the most signs out. God help us all if elections are decided by quantity of signs rather than quality of the candidates. Mark Medina Simi Valley
