Grace Brethren standout seniors
      Lauren Hoffman, daughter of Derrick and Ingrid Hoffman, earned highest honors in all four years at Grace Brethren. She received awards for excellence in English, Spanish and science, and won third place in the school science fair as a sophomore. She is a lifetime member of the California Scholarship Federation.

      Sophomores Alyssa Gervosoni of Royal High School and John Casselberry of Simi Valley High School will both attend the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Conference starting today, June 6, at California Lutheran University. The Simi Valley Kiwanis Club is sponsoring the students.

      The children of Mountain View Elementary School participated in the school's 15th annual Field Day games May 15. This year's theme was "Olympic Spirit." A Parade of Nations opened the program, with each class representing a different country.
