Summer Art Festival coming to MC
Moorpark College announces the return of the Summer Arts Festival, an annual performance series showcasing the dance, music and theater departments.
The festival schedule is as follows.
•"Fearless on Broadway," an annual musical revue directed and choreographed by Dennon and Sayhber Rawles, with vocal direction by Marilyn Anderson and musical direction by Dave Watkins. Performances are 8 p.m. Friday, June 13, and 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, June 14.
•Orchestra "Pops" Concert directed by James Song.
•"Merrily We Roll Along," musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth. The show is directed by John Loprieno.
•Dancing Under the Stars, directed by Robert Salas and Jennifer DeBritton-Ward.
•Stars and Stripes Social Dance, directed by Sandi Patterson.
High school students may earn college credit for their participation in the festival.
The college offers summer courses in performing arts and technical production for students of all levels.
Students who have not graduated from high school may take college classes without paying tuition.
