Moorpark College teaching zoo graduates 46

Moorpark College celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2008 of the Exotic Animal Training and Management Program on May 9.

More than 400 family members and friends of the 46 graduates attended the ceremony. Moorpark College President Dr. Eva Conrad and Dr. Pam Eddinger, executive vice president, were also present.

Brenda Woodhouse, department chair of the program, and several students spoke about their experiences and goals.

Faculty member Gary Wilson presented diplomas to the students. Earlier in the day, the graduating students put on an informal animal show for their families.

Other faculty present included Dr. Cynthia Stringfield, zoo veterinarian; Cindy Wilson, part-time faculty; Michlyn Hines, zoo operations manager; Mara Rodriguez, zoo operations assistant; Jaimie Williams, zoo operations; Alisa Behar, zoo operations; Dr. Leland Shapiro, part-time faculty; and Chuck Brinkman, counselor.
