Simi Valley Hospital recently announced that it will be giving Free Clinic of Simi Valley, a nonprofit organization, a credit of $10,000 worth of outpatient laboratory and diagnostic imaging services for their patients.

"We greatly appreciate Simi Valley Hospital for their generous gift that bolsters our mission to diagnose and treat uninsured populations," said Harry VanDyke, Free Clinic board chair. "The partnership with the hospital lessens the strain of providing medical services to the uninsured and indigent."

Simi Valley Hospital will work together with the Free Clinic to administer the program during the year by having an attending physician at the Free Clinic provide a referral to Simi Valley Hospital for a specific medical service.

The Free Clinic of Simi Valley is at 2060 Tapo St. The clinic provides medical, legal, counseling and dental services to community residents regardless of ability to pay.
