Despite Raskin's effort, the Pioneers were defeated by the Lancers, 8-1. Simi Valley (16-7 overall, 8-2 in the Marmonte League) now has a one-game lead over TOHS (15-9, 7-3 in league) and Royal (17-6, 7-3) in the chase for a Marmonte title.
