Katie Marie Lapin was called to the Torah on Feb. 23 as a bat mitzvah of the Center for Early Jewish Education in T.O.

She is a seventh-grade student at Sinaloa Middle School and the daughter of Randy and Margaret Lapin of Simi Valley.
