The Associated Students Board of Moorpark College and Poets and Writers will host The Read: Poetry and Stories from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 at the Moorpark College Library third floor, 7075 Campus Road.

The event includes an open mike for poets and writers to read their work.

Prior to the reading is a writing workshop from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in room 318 of Library/Learning Resources. The read and workshop are both free and open to the public.

Featured poets for the night are Kate Gale and Hart Schulz.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a children's or teen book to donate to The Rodgers School for Orphans in Pune, India.
