New Year's 5K run at Naval Base Point Mugu

Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu will hold its second annual "Year 2 Year 5k Run" starting at 11:50 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31 and finishing Tuesday, Jan. 1 at the Point Mugu gym.

The course will be lit by bonfires and moonlight. All runners will receive glow sticks and an event shirt. Refreshments will be served at the end of the run.

Cost is $20 for the general public and $10 for military and civilian employees. Families and friends are welcome to watch the event. Children will receive free noisemakers.

All non-federal employees must have their names on a visitor list in order to enter the base. There will also be a van to shuttle guests to and from the base entry gate.
