Local business owner attends national conference

Leahastar Schwanauer, owner of Stroller Strides in Simi Valley, recently attended the company's annual conference in San Diego.

Schwanauer was one of hundreds of franchisees and instructors from around the world to convene for this training meeting. Attendees learned about business strategies, fresh exercises with new equipment and the latest in pre/post natal research.

Guest speakers included Stroller Strides officials, fitness instructors and industry partners. Attendees were invited to a banquet and awards ceremony.

"The conference was extremely informative and a great experience. This meeting provided an opportunity for me to brainstorm with my peers and learn ways to better my business," Schwanauer said. "The Stroller Strides program inspires women and moms across the country to reach their ultimate well-being and optimal health, and this conference really inspired us all to continue to offer the best support and education for moms possible."

Stroller Strides is a fitness program for new mothers that they can do with their babies. It includes power walking and intervals of body toning using exercise tubing and the stroller.
