'Parade of Lights' returns to Ventura Harbor this weekend

The Ventura Harbor will present the 31st annual Parade of Lights and Fireworks display tonight, Friday, Dec. 14 and Saturday, Dec. 15.

The carnival will begin at 5 p.m., boat light parade at 7 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m.

Friday band performances will include Stinkin' Garbage, a drum line-style group from 5 to 7 p.m., and surf tunes with the Phantom Riders. Saturday bands will feature Big River, a Johnny Cash tribute band.

Parade of Lights admission and parking are free. On Saturday a free water taxi and free bus shuttle will be available.

To enter a boat in the Parade of Lights, call (805)4770470. Participation in the parade is free and includes a keepsake photo and brunch at The Greek restaurant.
