Freshen up our fresh water supply

Our fresh water supply has been decreasing rapidly over time. We have also already gone to our reserves.

What are we going to do when our fresh water is in dearth? What does the government plan to do?

Water is being used in our daily routine at an excessive amount. We use water for mostly nourishment, sanitation and hydration for our lives.

What would happen if our water supply gets too limited? There are many factors that are responsible for this reduction of water, and it is mostly caused by us.

Since we have always had more than enough for our use, we do not consider how much the amount has decreased as we still continue at the rate of our regular expenses. Pollution also affects our water, and recently toxins were found in our groundwater. Our trash is also contaminating our water.

Global warming is another factor because it increases heat that is causing the glaciers to retreat and disappear, increasing our sea-level rise that may add to the contamination of our groundwater.

Groundwater affects our drinking water, and up to 60 percent of our water supply can come from it. We should all consider ways to help this situation before it gets worse. Christina Lam Simi Valley
