Library should make room for B.V. I think since the library has so much room they should try and put Bottle Village there. They can make room. Let people enjoy it again, and it may help the library get more visitors. The library used to have a wall version of Bottle Village, but earthquakes took it away. When I was growing up, the library used to seem fun, with the wall and the treehouse in the middle of the children's area and the storytelling and puppet show. Now I take my daughter there to get books and can't wait to leave. The place seems boring and has lost some of its charm. I think Bottle Village could bring some of that lost charm back to the library. Also I went there and looked for yearbooks, and sadly there are hardly any. It would be great if the schools had a yearbook for every year there for people to look back. Bottle Village would make a wonderful addition, and the city could keep it up so it keeps its history, and everyone would be able to enjoy it. Another idea is putting it in the Strathearn Museum area. They just put the barbershop there, why not Bottle Village? They should have done that with the little house and church (sets) from the TV show "Little House on the Prairie" before the fires destroyed it. Simi has a rich history of TV and films and historical items and places, and the Strathearn is basically the museum of Simi Valley. I personally think Simi Valley should have an indoor museum to show our history. We have an exciting history. I tell my daughter about Simi's history, and she thinks it's so cool. I think others would as well. Barbara Anne Ungewitter Carrell Simi Valley |
