Community council meets

The Simi Valley Community Council will meet Thursday, Dec. 13 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the International House of Pancakes, 2525 Erringer Road, Simi Valley.

Ralph Mauriello of the San Fernando Valley Men's Chorus will present a holiday concert.

The Community Council meets on the second Thursday of each month from September through May for a no-host lunch. The meeting Jan. 10 will feature a speaker from a health care agency.

The Community Council, established in the early 1970s, brings together organizations, service clubs, and individuals to coordinate the special events, to foster volunteer service for community betterment, and to educate its membership on the services and activities in the Simi Valley area. Membership is $10 per year.
