Displeased with slow pace of freeway widening

It seems to me as if the road construction efforts in our county are simply not being prioritized carefully.

The widening of the 23 Freeway has been in the works for quite some time now, and we are now being told that completion is still years away due to lack of funds, among other needs. However, though it is obvious that the account for improving transportation is being quickly emptied, many different construction zones are occurring at once.

With the 23 still not complete, a new project was started from Tapo Canyon to the Santa Susana Pass. Why are we dipping our fingers into many different areas, rather than focusing on one project and completing it?

Isn't one completed project much more beneficial than two half-completed projects? As of now, both are at a standstill, and neither will be finished for years.

Projects like this should be prioritized by which area needs it the most and then carried out one at a time to ensure that one is complete before another is started. Kelsey Kasten Simi Valley
