Night for wine lovers at Simi's Magical Kitchen

The Magical Kitchen is teaming up with St. Barthelemy Cellars in Napa Valley for a St. Barthelemy All Port Wine Dinner from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at Sycamore Plaza, 2792 Cochran St., Simi Valley.

Winemaker Bart Barthelemy will be on hand for a bottle signing from 3 to 6 p.m.

The dinner will include six courses with special port pairings for each course and will be prepared by local Chef Sharon Martens, aka Chef Shay.

The menu will include grilled endive with Serrano ham, seared scallops with champagne vanilla butter sauce, pears and Stilton salad with port wine vinaigrette, tagliatelle with foie gras and Morel mushroom sauce, tenderloin of beef with figs and port reduction served with boiled potato melange, and chocolate petit fours with chocolate mousse and berries.
