Family Dinner a feast of fun at B&G Club

The Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley recently hosted the annual Family Dinner, where the young members and their families to enjoy a dinner, show and an evening of fun together at the club.
This year's theme was based on the Wizard of Oz, with more than 200 guests in attendance.
"The annual Family Dinner is an evening that we all look forward to each year. Everyone has a great time, children and parents alike," said Linda White, CEO of the club.
The evening started with a dinner of barbecued hamburgers and homemade mac n' cheese served by the youths to their families, followed by desert. The dinner was held in the gym, which was decorated with green tablecloths, rainbow balloon towers and streamers with centerpieces made by the children.
The Hometown Buffet Bee made a special appearance. The bee buzzed around tables during dinner to say hello to the families, and got hugs from the children.
After dinner, the Drama Club put on a mini-performance of "The Wizard of Oz" in the club's multipurpose room. The opening act included a montage from the club's hip-hop dancers.
