'Open Wednesdays' opens community conversations

The Ventura County Community Foundation has introduced "Open Wednesdays," a series of meetings in each of the county's 10 cities intended to provide a forum for local nonprofits, donors, community leaders and elected officials to discuss priorities for the foundation's programs, services and grant making.

The first meeting took place Nov. 7 in Thousand Oaks.

The next meeting is scheduled from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec., 5 in the Elizabeth R. Topping room of the E.P. Foster Library, 651 E. Main St., Ventura.
