Gas Co. names Pettes new public affairs manager

Michele Pettes, president and CEO of the Economic Development Collaborative-Ventura County for the last four years, will become the new Ventura County Public Affairs Manager for the Southern California Gas Co.

Bruce Stenslie, deputy director of the California Workforce Association, is finalizing a contract with the EDC-VC board of directors to become the new president/CEO of EDC-VC at the end of November, pending contract approval.

Stenslie has been deputy director at CWA since 2004. Prior to that, he served two years as the executive director for the city of Los Angeles Workforce Investment Board.

He has 18 years of experience in workforce and economic development and has previously served as the director of the Ventura County WIB and assistant director of the Ventura County Human Services Agency.

EDCVC is a private, nonprofit organization that serves as a business-to-government liaison to assist businesses in Ventura County by offering programs that enhance the economic vitality of the region.
