Deadline to submit materials to arts festival is next week

Thursday, Nov. 29 is the deadline for artists to submit materials for consideration and selection as the featured artist for the 2008 Arts Festival on May 4 in downtown Moorpark.

All artists in Ventura and West Los Angeles counties may compete.

Each year the arts festival showcases a different established or emerging featured artist with a daylong exhibition and uses one of the artist's images in promotional materials.

Materials may be handdelivered or mailed but must arrive by the deadline.

Mail materials to: Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, City of Moorpark 799 Moorpark Ave., Moorpark, CA 93021, Attn: Peggy Rothschild.

Hand-deliver materials to Moorpark Active Adult Center, 799 Moorpark Ave.
