'Marley's Ghost' haunts Moorpark stage

The High Street Arts Center will present "Marley's Ghost" by Jeff Goode, another version of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol." The show opens Friday, Nov. 23 and runs through Dec. 23 at 45 E. High St., Moorpark.

Showtimes are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Before Ebenezer Scrooge learned the true meaning of Christmas, another old miser was haunted by the ghosts of his past, present and future. What could have happened to Jacob Marley in the seven years since his untimely death that would convince him to sacrifice everything to save the one man he despises the most?

This play explores this timeless tale from a different perspective and examines the deeds that lead to the haunting of Scrooge by his former partner.

The show is directed by George Kralemann. In the cast are Jeff Raum, Chris Carnicelli, Brandy Paolini, Hayley Cariker, Michael Fischer, Donald Melton, Ken Johnson, Lois Loribeck and Anthony Valdez.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students, and $8 for children 12 and under. Group discounts are available.

For tickets, call the box office at (805) 529-8700.
