Get involved with the Community Council

The Simi Valley Community Council meets for a no-host lunch on the second Thursday of each month from September through May at the IHOP Restaurant, 2525 Erringer Road.

Following a short business meeting and guest speaker presentation, members and guests share upcoming events and needs.

The Dec. 13 meeting will feature a holiday concert in lieu of a speaker.

The Community Council, established in the 1970s, brings together agencies, organizations, service clubs and individuals to coordinate the special events of each participating group, to foster volunteer service and to educate its members about the programs, services and activities in the greater Simi Valley area.

Membership in the council is $10 per year.

Care and Share and the Samaritan Center are two charities endorsed by the Community Council, and donations to these agencies are encouraged.
