Simi not as safe as it used to be

I find it quite amusing that the city of Simi keeps on touting that it is one of the safest cities in America.

Obviously this city is not looking at any new stats. We are not even in the top 15 anymore and haven't been for many years.

So why is this being crammed down our throats by the city? With the crime rate rising and more and more reports on it in the paper, it seems that Simi is going by the wayside of too many people and a lack of control of its ever-expanding housing and greed for new revenue from it.

Shame on you, Simi. You have managed to ruin our hills and open spaces and the bedroom community feel, let alone its safety record. Joy Lomenick Simi Valley
