Police department's e-mail alert system goes online
Individuals, businesses can sign up to receive news reports

The Simi Valley Police Department has launched its Alert Program, which is designed to provide timely information to businesses and citizens via email about activities occurring in the city.

Individuals who are Neighborhood Watch captains, apartment managers, business owners or other Simi Valley citizens can subscribe and receive uptodate criminal activity reports, crime prevention information and upcoming events via the Internet.

Business owners may subscribe to this service by sending an e-mail to BusinessAlert@ simivalley.org.

Residents may subscribe by sending an e-mail to citizenalert@simivalley.org.

Individuals may subscribe to both services and can unsubscribe at any time. Subscribers regularly receive information from the police.

For information on this or other crime prevention programs offered by the Simi Valley Police Department, call Sgt. Jeff Dominick at (805) 5836993.
