Elementary schools, library celebrate Children's Book Week

      This wasn't an ordinary week for elementary school students. It marked the 12th annual celebration of Children's Book Week, an event that brings to life the importance as well as the fun of reading and writing.

Simi girls' varsity basketball hosting second annual Alumni Game
      The current Simi Valley High School varsity girls' basketball team will take on Pioneers from teams past during its second annual Alumni Game next Saturday, Nov. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the high school. Admission is $1. Alumni girls' basketball players are welcome to take part.
